Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Micro Color Panel

The placement of the panel's controls is similar to that of the advanced versions. Users can adjust the power window's shape, size, position, softness, and resize the input image. The Micro Color Panel is roughly the size of a standard keyboard and has a slot for mounting an iPad Pro as a software display. It can be connected to an iPad or computer via Bluetooth or USB-C, and can run on an internal battery or USB-C power.

Primary Adjustment Controls
The control knobs are organized into four groups of three knobs each.

Luminance

• The Y Lift control enables you to fine-tune the contrast in the darker regions of the image, specifically in the Y (luminance) channel. This feature provides the ability to adjust the black point while preserving saturation levels.
• The Y Gamma control allows for adjusting the contrast of mid-tone areas in the image, solely within the Y (luminance) channel. This feature enhances the depth and vibrancy of shots.
• The Y Gain control lets you modify the contrast of bright areas in the image by adjusting the luminance channel, without affecting saturation. This feature allows for targeted highlight adjustments.

Contrast

• Contrast Control: Elevate contrast to intensify dark tones and brighten light tones, or decrease contrast to achieve the opposite effect.
• Pivot: Modify the central point of tonality to stretch or narrow the dark and bright sections of an image while making contrast adjustments.
  
• Mid-Tone Detail: Modify the contrast of areas with prominent edges in order to alter the perception of image clarity and precision. Frequently utilized to enhance delicate facial elements, making it a favored technique for beauty photography.
  

Detail

• Color Boost Control: Enhance the saturation in under-saturated regions of the image while preserving properly saturated areas. Also referred to as a vibrance operation, this feature is ideal for injecting color without over-saturating the image.
  
• Shadow Control: Effortlessly adjust the contrast of shadow detail without compromising the mid-tones of your image.
  
• Highlight Control: Achieve a natural-looking image by smoothly blending retrieved highlights and unadjusted mid-tones in high dynamic range media through the lowering of this parameter. This enables the retrieval of blown-out highlight detail.
  

Saturation

• This feature allows for adjustable image saturation, providing the ability to convert a color image to grayscale.
  
• Hue Control: Adjust the image's hues along the full 360° of the color wheel. The default setting of 50 preserves the original distribution of hues.
  
• Luminance Mix Control:
• Optimize the balance between YRGB and Y-only adjustments with the Y channel's lift, gamma, and gain controls.
