Magewell Pro Convert HDMI TX 1-Channel NDI Encoder

The Magewell Pro Convert HDMI TX 1-Channel NDI Encoder is built for turning a standard HDMI video source into a reliable NDI stream for live production, streaming, AV installs, and network-based video workflows.

It supports HDMI input signals up to 2048 x 1200 at 60 fps and outputs NDI at up to 2048 x 1200 at 60 fps in 4:2:2 8-bit quality. For crews working with cameras, switchers, computers, or playback devices, this gives you a clean way to move HDMI video with embedded audio onto the network without adding a full capture workstation.

Power is flexible. Use the included power adapter or run the unit over PoE through the NDI Ethernet port. The compact body includes a 1/4-inch-20 mounting thread, making it easy to mount near a camera, behind a monitor, on a rig, or in a rack-style production setup.

For live environments, the shared PTZ and tally mini-DIN port adds useful control options, including tally light connection and NDI-based PTZ control. A tally light accessory is included.

Setup is handled through the Web UI, where you can assign the device name, source name, and system settings. The unit also includes a rotary board-index switch from 0 to F, giving engineers another quick way to identify devices in multi-unit installs.

The HDMI side is also well equipped. The adaptive HDMI equalizer supports cable runs up to 98 feet, while custom EDID support, audio information extraction, video timing detection, and full colorimetry support help the encoder fit into more demanding production systems.
