Datavideo CG-350TC Kit includes CG-350 Character Generator software and TC-200 Title Creator

The DatavideoCG-350TC Kit Character Generator from Datavideo is a powerful titling program built for the live broadcast and video post-production scenarios. This Kit includes CG-350 Character Generator software and TC-200 Title Creator. It works with all HD/SD-SDI Datavideo switchers. This character Generator supports HD and SD video format. These set of functionality will work with a Blackmagic Design Decklink or AJA Xena cards as a downstream keyer or as key & fill sources.

This model delivers functionality, including banner crawl functions, which run independently from the character generator software. In addition, the title composes a program for creating high-quality title pages, they can be displayed automatically or completely under Manual Control after they have been composed. Moreover, a display list can be created ahead of time to make on-air usage easy, one keystroke operation, or you can randomly select the title pages while on air.

The CG-350 can be used to display standard format graphic images as well as text animation sequences. The text animation sequences are created by the title composer using the text FX features. The graphic images, title pages and text animation sequences can be freely intermixed with one another in any order.

Title pages can contain Text, background color boxes, geometric shapes, full-color graphics images as logos, and either a background graphic or background video. The text is created using true typefaces and can be sized, kerned, rotated, and italicized. Each character can have up to two edges and three shadows. The character's edges and shadows can be colorized with a solid colour, a vertical colour spread, a colour gradient (4pt, 5pt, or linear), or textures.

Note** Requires a DECKLINK 4K Extreme card, or AJA card to be used as a DSK (Downstream Keyer) or Key and Fill for HD/SD-SDI sources

Media Catalogues
The Media Catalogue (shown below) is divided into three groups based upon the type of images that the software can display. These are text animations, graphic images and titles.

•These images can be quickly added to the Display List Editor to create a display list
•The Title Catalogue shows the pages in the current project
•The Text Animation Catalogue shows the text animations that have been created and pre-rendered with the Title Composer
•The Graphic Image Catalogue shows the graphics images stored in the folders that are included in the Catalogue

Display List Editor
The Display List Editor is used to create and edit display lists. The user can add, delete, and duplicate images here. An image can be added here by double-clicking it in the Media Catalogue or dragging it from the Media Catalogue and dropping it into the Display List. You can change the order of the images in this window using "drag and drop". This will change the order that the pages will be displayed. You can also randomly select the next page to display for those "last minute" changes.

Preview Window
The program previews an image before it is displayed to ensure that the wrong picture won't be shown accidentally. The Preview Window previews the next Image to be shown. For this feature "drag and drop" to drag the page to be previewed from either the Display List or the Media Catalogue. Then double-clicking on an image in the Display List can also be used to select an image to be previewed. The size of this window can be controlled from the "View" Menu.

TC-200 Title Creator
The Datavideo TC-200 & CG-200 HD/SD Character Generator Kit combines the TC-200 Overlay Box with the CG-200 CG software into an on-screen graphics and titling solution that requires minimal PC processing power. The TC-200 can be used with Datavideo’s Windows-based Character Generator software such as CG-200, CG-250, CG-350, and CG-500.

The TC-200 allows producers to create professional CG overlays with a Windows laptop instead of transporting a high-end desktop PC with PCIe cards fitted. This manual covers the TC-200 overlay box only, a separate manual is provided with the supplied Character Generator software.
