Blackmagic Design DeckLink IP 100G

The Blackmagic DeckLink IP 100G is a PCIe Gen 4 card built for 2110 IP broadcast workflows. It supports capture and playback of up to 8 channels of HD or Ultra HD video over IP. With dual 100G Ethernet QSFP ports, it offers redundant connections or integration with two separate network switches. Built-in cooling ensures reliable performance in demanding environments.

DeckLink IP 100G supports SMPTE ST2110 standards, including uncompressed video, audio, and ancillary data. Each signal travels independently over the network for greater flexibility. Using a shared PTP clock, it stays in sync with other broadcast gear.

Unlike general-purpose network cards, the DeckLink IP family isolates video and audio data using dedicated frame buffers. This hardware-level separation protects the system from rogue network traffic or potential intrusions.

The DeckLink IP 100G supports GPUDirect RDMA, which transfers video directly to GPU memory. This helps reduce PCIe bandwidth usage and cuts down on latency—key for GPU-based workflows like graphics generation or AI processing.

Video format support includes all major SD, HD, and Ultra HD standards up to 2160p60. Each channel can be set independently, with instant format switching through the Desktop Video Utility or SDK. The card handles capture and playback at the same time on every channel.

For Ultra HD video that exceeds 10G bandwidth limits, the DeckLink IP 100G uses the Blackmagic IP10 codec. This open standard keeps latency low and resource use minimal, ensuring efficient processing at 2160p59.94 and 2160p60.

The card works with popular software including DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, Media Composer, and more. It supports color grading, editing, and visual effects in live or post-production pipelines. Developers can use the free DeckLink SDK to build custom workflows on macOS, Windows, or Linux.
